HPS-1 Heated Pitot-Static Probe Testing

At the time our new HPS-1 Heated Pitot-Static Probe is thoroughly tested in our wind-tunnel. We use an IR-camera to make sure that even at high airspeed and high angle of attack the tip is heated uniformly. Furthermore we measure the power as a function of airspeed and check heater-control algorithms in practice. The following pictures provide a first impression:
