The following software can be used to configure the heater temperature and max. allowed power of the HPS-1 heated pitot-static probe. A USB-to-TTL cable converter is needed to connect the HPS-1 to the computer. Contact Simtec for more details or for a preconfigured and assembled cable.
The following software can be used to display flow angles and configure the smart miniature vane SMV-1 via the RS-485 interface:
Version V1.2 adds separate lines in the diagram for AoA and AoS data labels (for master/slave operation) and a new menu action to clear the chart.
As of version 2.0 the software can be used for PSS-8, PSS-8X and PSS-8M.
The following software can be used to visualize and log PSS-8X data that has a FTB-1 air data boom connected. The software can also be used to access the maintenance interface of the PSS-8X via the RS-485 serial port. With the software you can for example adjust the zero points of the AoA and AoS vanes.
As of version 2.0 the software is based on the new JavaFX UI library. The latest Java-8 runtime is required. 32bit and 64bit serial drivers are included and selected automatically. Version V2.2 includes a CANaerospace application (can.exe) that can be used with a CANUSB converter cable from LAWICEL AB, Sweden.
Version 3.0 is required for the latest ADP-5.5 with aviation grade static sensor. Use the "Save to Flash" button to save the configuration data to the flash. Version 3.1 adds the new duty-rate limiter to limit the maximum duty-rate (PWM) of the heater controller to a value between 0 to 100% (valid values are 0..1). This feature works for RTMC firmware version above V2.5.0.
The following software can be used to access the maintenance interface of the RTMC and to monitor the FCC port of the RTMC
Please note that for the ARINC-429 and CANaerospace interface special interface converters are needed to convert the ARINC-429 signal and CAN signal to a signal that can be used on a personal computer. Contact Simtec for details.
To connect the RS-485 serial interface to a standard USB-port of a PC we recommend to use a FTDI USB-RS485 Converter Cable
Binder Connectors can be found at Franz Binder GmbH & Co..
The following software can be used to visualize and log PSS-8 data and to access the maintenance interface of the PSS-8 via the RS-485 serial port.
As of version 2.1 the software is based on the new JavaFX UI library. The latest Java-8 runtime is reqiured. 32bit and 64bit serial drivers are included and selected automatically.
